When we published our index of Dylan covers with links to the songs I simply ignored the fact of how incomplete it was, and happily moved on to whatever else was on my mind. But now coming back to that entry it does seem horribly incomplete.
So I started thinking of doing ot all over again – and may be I will – but I would like to help and I need to think how to do it. However I can at least kick the can down the road (or whatever the saying is) by facing up to “Tomorrow Is a Long Time” for no reason other that I was thinking about the song today as I am edging my way toward a birthday which seems to make me feel very old.
Anyway that birthday is still a long way off, so I have time to think about “Tomorrow is a long time” and ponder whether to do another index of covers of Dylan songs, updated from the one done years ago. Here we go
The sudden chord change from the original took me by surprise in that version above. But there are no surprises below – I think the “Brothers Four” recorded this as a song they could do, and which they probably felt most of their listeners might not know.
Arbouretum was technically a folk-rock band, but they went off in other directions as I have noted before….So move on just in case you are still with me and want some more….
But in the end I always have to come back to the master.
