As you may have noted in the past, occasionally readers of Untold Dylan do send us their own recordings of Dylan songs, and from time to time I do like to publish one or two of these. And today is one of those times… Here, first is the info….
We are Tracy Irve, a sibling duo from Gothenburg, Sweden – Linnea and Alexander Herlogsson. We’ve been making music together for many years, originally coming from a more acoustic and folk-pop background before our sound gradually developed towards more alternative pop.
We’ve always enjoyed reinterpreting songs by artists we admire. A few years ago we recorded a very stripped-down live version of James Blake’s “Retrograde” and more recently we released our own interpretation of “Shores” by Seinabo Sey and Vargas & Lagola.
The recording of “Forever Young” was made in our home studio, with some help from our father. It was a very personal and fairly simple recording process, which felt appropriate for the song. We’ve always liked the intimacy that can come from recording music ourselves, and having our father involved made this particular recording feel even more like a family project.
Our more recent work is mostly Swedish-language material, including our EP “Ännu Rund”. Here are some links to some of our other recordings in English:

Tony’s comments…
Obviously I do listen to the recordings I am sent, and don’t post everything that comes my way but this is something I think you should listen to if you have the time.
As for the artists, here is what they say of themselves…
We´re a Swedish sibling duo from Gothenburg, Sweden and just released our own version of Bob Dylans “Forever Young”.
The song became personal to us after we performed it together with our father at the christening of Alexander’s son. What began as a special one-time performance stayed with us and eventually inspired us to record our own version.
Rather than trying to recreate Dylan’s original, we approached the song in our own way, with Linnea’s vocals at the center and a stripped-back, atmospheric arrangement.
As longtime admirers of Dylan’s songwriting, we thought fellow Dylan fans might enjoy hearing what this song became in our hands.
